If you'd like to bring a ChangeMakers program to your school contact Ms. Katie at kurey@mac.com

ChangeMakers is an after school enrichment program. Each session has a different focus, but all are designed to build self-esteem, resilience, authenticity, compassion and a positive mindset. Through team building activities, games, scenarios, books, crafts, and discussion, children are empowered to use their voices, find their brave and create change!

Pas topics include:

  • Brave Leadership

  • Friendship and Empathy

  • Mindfulness and Self-Regulation

  • Multiple Intelligences

  • Anti-Racism

Upcoming ChangeMakers Sessions:
I AM THE CHANGE
During this session of ChangeMakers we will focus on ourselves as the instigators of change. Who we are and how we are in the world affects everything around us. We will explore our authentic selves, use assertive voices, practice accessing empathy and recognize that every day we have opportunities to be the change we want to see in the world.

In ChangeMakers 2.0 we use the leadership and communication skills we have built in ChangeMakers to facilitate a true student-initiated change.

The first group of CM2.0 students worked to transition their school cafeteria from disposable plastic utensils to reusable flatware. Check out the video below to see their KID POWER IN ACTION!

Other student-initiated impact projects include

  • Creating a (now annual!) Pride Parade

  • Working to smash the stigma surrounding food insecurity

  • Raising money for Ukrainian refugees

  • Creating a holiday Elf Shelf to spread the joy of giving
